Continuation of structural studies at high gas pressures on ice phases and clathrate hydrates, as well as on ferroelectrics and minerals. Between 1989 and 1992 chairman of the working group neutron scattering of the German Crystallographic Association (DGK, formerly AGKr). | |

The longstanding interest in ice, gas-ice-interactions and clathrate hydrates has developed to be the main research activity in Göttingen. The work has been partly financed through various grants from the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft DFG ("normal" grants and grants in the programme "Antarktisforschung") as well as through BMBF, PROCOPE and EC-grants.
